Former Manchester City defender Richard Dunne believes that Liverpool are going to be wanting to defeat Manchester United this weekend, because the Red Devils are the sole club that have taken points off the Reds this season within the Premier League.
Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday looking to require another step closer to a maiden Premier League title.
Liverpool possess a 14-point lead at the highest of the table with a game in hand. Manchester United on the opposite hand sit in fifth and are five points outside the highest four.
The Reds have only dropped points in one fixture this season, which was the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October.
Dunne believes Liverpool are going to be even more prepared for the sport against the Red Devils this weekend thanks to what happened earlier within the season at Old Trafford.
“Liverpool know that this is often the sole team which has taken points off all of them season, therefore the leaders will want to place the record straight,” Dunne wrote in his piece for The Evening Herald.
